First I'd like to express my personal view as just "Absolutely stunning!"

Now as for a critique, I have many thoughts on this, and none negative.

The artistic vision here is fabulous. I'm not sure how much thought was put in to taking this photo as it could have simply been a "Wow that looks cool lets shoot it" or a long process of finding the proper setup of droplets of water that when shot at the right angle produced a magnificent piece. The warm hues work well as they fill the viewer with a sense of welcoming, the drops reflecting the light adding much wonder to it. I give a four here for the fact that it is hard to decide whether this was a quick shot or a contemplated one, however it is no less stunning from either standpoint.

As far as originality goes, I have seen this kind of thing before. A macro shot of water droplets with the focus on a larger of many, each reflecting light shone on them from the sun or another source, all settled on a leaf or flower or some object. However - the originality here is no less impressive with the layout of the drops, the angle taken to shoot this specific photo, and the depth of field used to get the wonderful, crisp, sharp edges on the drop in the foreground and some of the smaller droplets to the edge of the the main and side of the picture, not to mention the beautiful gradient of red to crimson and magenta to a light, cool lavender as it travels upward. A four here as well only because of the macro shot being of droplets, something many have seen over and over; a four though because the beautiful image captured through your eye and lens, and the way everything flows together to form an outstanding work of art through nature.

Getting a macro shot that is perfectly in focus is no easy feat, as even I have troubles at times. Something can look perfect on a small lcd screen but turn out blurry once blown up on the bigger computer monitor. To get such perfectly crisp edges, fantastic gradients of hue and light in the background, and a slightly blurred but still coherent feeling of many droplets in the mid-ground prove that the technique used to capture this was given much effort and was successful. Four and one half here, great work.

And what an impact it has! "Galaxies" is the perfect title for a photo such as this. It's simply stunning and full of awe! It does look much like a galaxy shot through Hubble's eye. The curve the eye follows along the small rivulets and droplets of water constantly has me searching for more small, minute details I never saw before, and finding them continues to make me smile as I get caught up in the picture. The light plays beautifully and makes the viewer feel warm, comfortable, and happy to see this. Definitely one of my favorites I have seen in a long time, and one that will be leaving quite an impression to many. Glad to add it to my favorites. Five stars for a hefty impact!

4.6 stars from me, and gladly given. Fantastic shot, Olivia, can't wait to see what is next.
