Description
The title is both true and false. Rain is great, but.. This was taken one day before the great storm in Germany. The storm hit Germany, especially Northrhine Westfalia, very hard. 6 people died in that night, and many trees fell onto the streets and electrical conductions of the trams and trains.
My boyfriend and I are living on the top floor and were therefore directly in the storm when it crashed into my hometown. We closed the windows but this did not help much. We heard the wind rush through our flat, and saw that the wind (no joke) whipped the rain against our windows. Lightnings lit up the scene regularly, and the thunder made me shiver. Fearing that the windows will burst under such an exposure due the lack of shutters, we fled into the only room without any windows: The bathroom. And then we heard it: drip... drop... drip.. drop..
There was water coming out of the lamp in our kitchen! We had no electricity, no cell phone signal, nothing. I ran through the house to call the fire department, and finally managed to call them. They said they'll come if they have time. The problem was: They did not have any time, since there were humans endangered, who really needed help.
So we sat there, hoping that our ceiling will not crash down on us while the water continued dripping through the whole wall now..
Well, now you see that rain is not always magical, but can be extremely dangerous, too.
